Disha Kar, Co-Founder

Step into Jaggo's vibrant world of empowerment, where creativity thrives under the guidance of our visionary co-founder, Disha Kar. A student at the Orange County School of the Arts, she is not just a leader but a catalyst for change, blending compassion and innovation seamlessly.

Fueling her passion for health and wellness, Disha wears many hats—hosting a podcast on nutrition and running a business that provides nutritious meals to local schools. But her commitment goes further as she founded a non profit which is a sanctuary where children flourish through art.

Beyond philanthropy, Disha is a 5-year martial arts veteran and a Bollywood dance enthusiast, celebrating her heritage through movement. Amidst chaos, she finds solace in cultural prayer, grounding herself in tradition.

Driven by optimism and fueled by passion, Disha Kar leads Jaggo towards a future of empowerment. Join her on this journey where every step forward amplifies voices, nurtures creativity, and ignites hope. Welcome to Jaggo—where dreams take flight and possibilities are boundless.

Chelsea Dong, Publicity

Hello, my name is Chelsea, I am from Oxford Academy, and I’m excited to be working with JAGGO this year as Publicity! I have always appreciated using Graphic Design to convey messages and a voice through visuals, and I wish to help encourage other young girls to find their passion in ways that can advocate for themselves and others. I have worked in the past with creating outreach days of STEAM to homeless shelters in my area, helped to develop podcasts for Mental Health, and work as a specialist for #ICANHELP this year. Some fun facts about me are: I have done calligraphy for about 3-4 years now, I like writing and drawing in my free time, and I play piano in my free time.

Kyra Encarnacion_Jaggo_Website.jpg

Kyra Encarnacion, Bulletin Editor

My name is Kyra, I am 17 years old and am living in the Philippines. My pronouns are she/they and I like to join different organizations to help raise awareness on different issues. Being part of Jaggo, I would like to help be an advocate for women’s right and as much as possible help inspire others to do the same. After everything women have faced, not only in the past but also in the present, I realized how women are being treated in our society. Often seen as fragile and are looked down upon. Joining Jaggo and being part of the organization will help me be able to raise awareness on different issues women face and hopefully be able to encourage other people to raise awareness as well. Hopefully, as I grow in this organization, I will be able to do these to the best of my abilities.
